Founders Day
Jan. 27, although the observance at UGA is sometimes scheduled for a nearby and more convenient day. Commemorates the Georgia General Assembly’s approval of UGA’s charter on Jan. 27, 1785, in Savannah, creating the first state-chartered university in the U.S.
Note that the preferred style has been changed to plural and is no longer plural possessive.

Redundant. Use “inaugural” instead.
Commencement
Upper case the formal ceremony; lower case for generic usage: Undergraduate Commencement will be held in Sanford Stadium. UGA held three commencements each year from 2000 until 2015.
