The special collections libraries house materials from the Hargrett Rare Book and Manuscript Library, the Walter J. Brown Media Archives and the Peabody Awards Collection, and the Richard B. Russell Library for Political Research and Studies.

The special collections libraries are housed in the Richard B. Russell Building.
