Old College

The first permanent structure on campus, Old College — originally called Franklin College — was completed in 1806. It has served as everything from a dormitory to classrooms to a U.S. Navy preflight school during World War II. Since a major bicentennial renovation in 2006, it has housed the Franklin College of Arts and Sciences.
